25 Days of Jesus
An Advent Journey through the Gospel of Luke
The Story of a Baby from Bethlehem
As chronicled by Luke, a physician of his time and with great attention to detail, his Gospel account includes a cast of unexpected characters:
Fishermen.
Beggars.
The poor, lame, & blind.
Religious leaders.
Women.
The life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth seemed upside down for a man who claimed to be the Messiah. He surprised many with talk of loving enemies, parables of grace, and proclamations of an ever-present kingdom of God.
Jesus: sentenced and put to death by his own people, resurrected in three days to prove His Lordship. He entered this world an infant: Emmanuel (God with us), and left as Yeshua Hamashiach (Jesus the Messiah).

I love the simplicity and rich biblical truth contained in this family-oriented advent study. Each day includes a Bible verse, devotional, and prayer. Every few days, you get to try a new holiday recipe (the Make-Ahead French Toast Casserole looks amazing!). My favorite part was the fact that the author included Scripture references to go along with familiar Christmas songs throughout the study. I think this would be an excellent resource for parents with elementary-aged children all the way through high school. What a wonderful way to celebrate the Advent season with your loved ones!

This book is a wonderful, simple guide for advent reading. Each day is a very short reading and perfect to do with your family each day. Seriously it will only take a couple minutes each day and is great content to discuss as a family or to just meditate on yourself. Every two couple days there is a song to sing and a recipe to try. The book is beautiful and so calming. I know Jennifer personally and she has a tender heart for Jesus and sharing His word and love to all people. Her tender, calm spirit flows throughout the words in this book. I would recommend this book for your family and as a gift to other families to use during Advent season.
